As part of our collaboration with one of our key clients, we're looking for a Data Software Engineer to help design, develop, and implement a next-generation data platform. What You'll Do
Design and develop real-time data pipelines, following SOLID principles and ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
Integrate new data sources through connectors and apply complex transformations in streaming environments to enrich data.
Collaborate closely with your team, sharing your knowledge and experience while continuously developing new skills.
Optimize the performance and efficiency of data pipelines and analytical queries.
Configure monitoring systems, alerts, and quality and health metrics.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly and guide coding agents, taking ownership of the quality, security, and design of the delivered solutions.
Work within Agile and DevOps methodologies, taking ownership of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and actively participating in code reviews.
Technologies You'll Work With
Object-Oriented Programming in Java, particularly with Spring
Stream processing using Apache Flink and Apache Beam
Testing with JUnit and SonarQube
Operational and analytical SQL databases
Kafka and Kafka Connect
Hadoop ecosystem
Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
Build tools and version control systems (Git)
Monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
Hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets and ETL processes.
Strong knowledge of database design and development.
Experience with data ingestion using Kafka Connect.
Familiarity with stream processing technologies such as Flink, Beam, or Spark.
Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of Java or another object-oriented programming language, with experience using it for data processing considered a plus.
Solid experience with relational databases and SQL.
Understanding of Data Lakehouse architectures.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
